Dunvegan Road
Village of Forest Hill, Toronto, Ontario
2005-2008

With their children now grown and soon to be leaving the nest, the owners wanted this new in-town residence to capture both a sense of timelessness and subtle glamour. The stately cut limestone portico sets the scene for the simple richness of the interior features. The flow through the home is anchored by the magnificent four level oval staircase that is punctuated by the equally tall waterfall of illuminated Swarovski crystal strands. The handcrafted detailing of the home is apparent in every surface. Whether it be the sand blasted French oak paneling, or the nature inspired mother of pearl inlays, no detail was overlooked.

Outdoors meets indoors in the conservatory, where the glass walls have been designed to virtually disappear. As the seasons change, this glazed breakfast room transforms into an open-air loggia, set within a reflecting pool. On warm summer nights, the garden is filled with the sounds of laughter and cheer, as family and friends gather in this remarkably welcoming home.
